Iveland Tree Top Panorama: Luxury Among the Treetops
Norway is renowned for its breathtaking nature, and Iveland Tree Top Panorama offers a truly unique way to experience it. Do you remember the excitement of treehouses as a child? Your own space, free from disturbances, surrounded by nature. Combining that nostalgic feeling with modern facilities and luxury, the Andersen and Finsland families have created an exclusive accommodation experience, generously shared with their guests.
One of our distributors, Holbæk Rør AS, served as the supplier and advisor for the project. This means Jets® has had the privilege of being part of another spectacular and exciting venture!
The best of both worlds
Iveland Tree Top Panorama is more than just a place to stay. It is a unique and luxurious experience that brings you so close to nature that pine needles can land on your doormat, with stunning views from every room. Imagine soaking in a warm, rejuvenating jacuzzi on a spacious balcony five metres above the ground on a starry autumn night. It’s an experience that simply must be lived.

Thoughtfully designed facilities
The "Furukrona" cabin features six beds across three bedrooms and has already become a popular choice for those seeking a unique retreat. Iveland Tree Top Panorama is also finalising its second cabin, "Ørneredet," (Eagle's nest) which will offer eight beds. Both cabins are equipped with full kitchens, bathrooms with underfloor heating, showers, and toilets, as well as jacuzzis. Upon arrival, the cabins are prepped and ready, complete with made-up beds and fluffy towels.

The bathrooms offer the same facilities as a top-tier hotel – but up in the trees. The interiors are luxurious and well thought out. The porcelain toilet selected for the cabins is the Jets® Charm model.

Great ideas need practical solutions
The idea to build the treetop cabins came from Stian Finsland, who was inspired by similar projects elsewhere. With family-owned forest land in this stunning area, the vision began to take shape. The family embraced the idea, and a new family business was born.
However, fantastic ideas require practical solutions. Comfort is crucial for such a concept to work in reality. Families with children or groups of friends need a seamless and straightforward experience to fully enjoy their time in nature. There is also a responsibility to protect the surrounding environment. To address the unique challenges associated with building treehouse cabins, the family reached out to Holbæk Rør AS in Vennesla, Norway for expert advice.

"Installing a toilet in a treehouse comes with challenges,” says André Holbæk from Holbæk Rør AS. “One key issue is the lack of connection to a public sewage system in the trees. We recommended a vacuum toilet solution, which allows waste to be transported with minimal water usage through small pipes. We chose systems from Jets® to reduce environmental impact while maintaining high sanitation standards.”
Flexible and environmentally friendly
One major advantage of Jets® vacuum systems is their ability to transport waste using vacuum pressure, independent of gravity. This means waste can be carried both horizontally and vertically. Furthermore, water consumption is significantly lower – only 0.6 litres per flush. The thinner pipes used in Jets® vacuum systems are also more flexible and easier to install.
“Every project has its own unique challenges,” Holbæk explains. “In this case, the challenge was determining the placement and size of the waste treatment tank to simplify maintenance.”

Source separation
Since the treetop cabins are not connected to public sewage systems, Holbæk Rør AS recommended a source separating solution from Jets®. Source separation involves separating water from showers and sinks (greywater) from toilet waste (blackwater), treating them individually. An Ecomotive A02 was installed for greywater treatment, while a Jets® Biotank was used for blackwater. This environmentally friendly and practical solution ensures low waste volumes and easy post-treatment handling.
“We’ve received positive feedback since the project was completed,” Holbæk says. “Iveland Tree Top Panorama has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the vacuum toilet and the source-separating solution from Jets®. They chose the same solution for their newly constructed second cabin.”
“We specialise in sanitary solutions for a variety of environments. Our focus is on providing efficient and environmentally friendly options for waste management. Our goal is to help our clients achieve the best solutions for their specific needs,” Holbæk concludes.
