While JETS has customers and connections worldwide, it’s not uncommon for us to deliver our products and services close to home. A prime example of this is our long-standing collaboration with Sølvtrans. JETS and Sølvtrans demonstrate how trust and collaboration create lasting value.

Sølvtrans – World leader in wellboats

Sølvtrans is the world’s largest wellboat operator, with a fleet of over 40 vessels transporting live fish both domestically and internationally. Headquartered in Ålesund with over 600 employees, Sølvtrans is a pioneer in its field.

Since the collaboration began in 2013, JETS has delivered vacuum sanitation systems to all of Sølvtrans' newly built vessels—24 in total.

The fact that Sølvtrans has chosen JETS as their supplier over all these years is a testament to the trust they place in us, and it’s something we truly value, says Raymond Hovlid, Sales Manager Aftermarket at JETS.

We perceive JETS as a positive and professional partner that is easy to work with, readily accessible, and quick to deliver parts. In addition, we receive excellent technical support, confirms Are Brautaset, Chief Procurement Officer at Sølvtrans.

Ensuring longevity through planned maintenance

Sølvtrans has chosen Jets® vacuum sanitation systems and treatment plants for most of their vessels, with about half also equipped with Jets® treatment plants (STP). These solutions contribute to efficient waste management and help reduce the vessels’ environmental footprint.

To make the process as seamless as possible for customers, JETS offers framework agreements to ensure systems perform optimally throughout their lifecycle. Each year, Sølvtrans receives a summary with recommended maintenance, potential upgrades, and an optimal quantity of onboard spare parts.

JETS provides recommendations based on ongoing dialogue, often directly with the chief engineer on each vessel and keeps track of installed equipment and offers proactive recommendations for upgrades based on Sølvtrans’ feedback. This collaboration simplifies both planned maintenance and handling of urgent matters, resulting in longer service life and less downtime.

We have experienced this as a close and positive partnership with thorough follow-up, says Brautaset.

This systematic approach - from planning and implementation to service and upgrades - ensures Sølvtrans can rely on Jets® solutions to operate optimally extend the lifespan and enabling smooth sailing in practice.

Operational reliability is essential to us, and JETS contributes to stable operations and efficient solutions, Brautaset continues.
